Operations

Northgate places our team and guest experience at the center of our operations strategy, leading to best-in-class teams, resort management solutions, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Our operations activities include service recovery, reputation management, controllable cost management, ancillary revenue growth, crisis management and risk mitigation, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development and implementation.

Marketing

Northgate’s experienced marketing team leverages a variety of platforms and strategies to reach campers and keep parks operating at full capacity. Marketing services include campground branding management services and development, digital marketing, website development, photography and graphic design, copywriting, public relations, and influencer partnerships.

Capital Improvement

As one of the top campground developers in the United States, Northgate has an in-house construction, design, & development department whose services include master planning, landscape architecture, interior design, and computer-aided design and modeling. In addition, Northgate’s construction project managers oversee capital projects from the pre-construction phase through completion. This includes entitlements, permitting, and licensing, construction contract and contractor management, coordination with preferred consultants and vendors, and capital expenditure scheduling and budgeting.

Human Resources

Under Northgate management, all managers and team members would be provided with a centralized HR support system that includes payroll, benefits, recruiting, and workers compensation. All full-time year round team members would be eligible to participate in Northgate health insurance plans, voluntary plans, and 401k. These plans include medical, dental, vision, accidental, critical injury & illness, term life insurance, employee assistance program, pet insurance, and identity protection.

Purchasing

The Northgate procurement team is a proven leader in the development of sound purchasing strategies for award winning RV resort parks. Because of our preferred vendor relationships, operators can benefit from prioritized manufacturing, aggressive pricing, nationwide distribution, and excellent service. In addition, Northgate can improve operational efficiencies through a clear purchasing strategy outlined in our custom procurement guide. From park model RV’s to candy bars, our process provides turnkey opportunities for your operation.

ACCOUNTING & FINANCIAL REPORTING

The Accounting processes and controls implemented at Northgate aid the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). We strive for standardization while still being able to lean on our industry expertise to adapt quickly to account for new business opportunities. Our team of experienced personnel handle all aspects of the accounting and finance services including treasury management, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, accounts payable, and hospitality financial management services.

Labor Management

Northgate utilizes proprietary advanced labor management and overall expense management tools to manage the seasonality camping and outdoor recreation business, ensuring that margins are intact and guest experiences remain exceptional. These tools are especially critical during slower times and enable Northgate to optimize labor costs without sacrificing service quality.

REVENUE MANAGEMENT

Through initiatives like pricing optimization, demand forecasting, distribution channel management, hospitality financial management services, upselling and cross-selling, campground booking and occupancy management, and inventory allocation, our experienced revenue team is able to drive and maximize park revenue. Our revenue team also utilizes data and out-of-the-box thinking to exceed goals for ancillary growth in retail, food and beverage, park experiences, and more.

COMPLIANCE

Northgate’s in-house legal team functions to support the smooth operations of each property Northgate manages. That support includes environmental, health and safety compliance; construction entitlements; risk assessments and insurance claims management; construction contract and service agreement drafting, review, and management; and management of over 600 licenses and permits utilizing our custom database and task management API.
